Alistaire Johannessen, more commonly known as Alis because it's easier to remember, is your typical schoolgirl. Or she was. She had the blue uniform and everything.

And then she died. After being hit by lightning while running after the guy she liked with an umbrella so he wouldn't get wet. Seems a little unfair, doesn't it?

Now that she's dead, however, things are quite strange. For one thing, she still exists. For another thing, lightning shoots out of her hands without her meaning to make it do so. And then she gets hired as a mage for a ghost ship by a scary woman with a lot of guns.

She might not be in Heaven, but Hell can't be far off.
